SA Division News

The SA DIAA Division hosts a range of events throughout the year, including an awards luncheon, technical seminars, factory tours and social events.

The Division also conducts an annual technical dairy product competition in partnership with the SA Royal Show.

Sensory Analysis of Food

“I think this cheese tastes fantastic, but I’m not sure!"

The DIAA SA Division and TAFE SA would like to invite all members to a food sensory analysis evening on Monday, 10 October, at 6:30pm, at the TAFE SA Adelaide North.

The sensory analysis of food provides producers with information about the quality of their product and the likelihood that it will be purchased by consumers. But sensory analysis is a deceptively difficult analytical technique to use. While it almost always yields data, the usefulness of the data can be uncertain. In this session we will investigate some of the pitfalls of sensory analysis and the strategies used to overcome them.

2011 SA Dairy Product Awards
