DIAA members are invited to attend a food safety workshop 'The Good, the Bad and the Deadly: What you need to know about food safety'. Jointly organised by the DIAA, the AIFST and Food Industry Association of WA, the workshop will be held on Friday, 28 May in two locations, in Bunbury between 9 and 10:30 am and in Perth between 3:30 and 5pm.
Doug Eddy, general manager, Knowledge Management, Dairy Food Safety Victoria, and current DIAA Federal President, will be speaking about practical applications of food safety. The talk will cover topics such as:
- Food safety - unintential contamination of product
- Food defence - intentional contamination of product
- Research and development into food safety
- The Victorian Product Testing program
